Everyone Has...

Feb 7, 2021    Ewen Robertson    1 Corinthians 14:18-40

In this message we re-visit 1 Corinthians 14 to glean from it more about how we may contribute to our corporate meetings. We learn that we can come to a meeting with a song, or with a word of instruction, or a revelation or a tongue and interpretation of a tongue. God has given us all something with which to contribute. Finally, we examine what Paul means by women being silent in the church, concluding that this does not mean that women cannot speak in church, but that in the context of the early church, they should not interrupt the meetings, and it is also a timeless principle that while men and women have equal value before God, men are functionally the head of the church family as the husband is in the natural family, who must demonstrate servant leadership in both, over those whom they lead.
